When I got started i had no clue where I wanted to take this design wise so I just created a basic outline of a jersey and a recreation the Nike logo because that's who They're sponsored by.
Next I decided on the font for the jerseys and I began to create a new logo.
After I finished the logo and began to add more details to the jersey
I tried some different colors but she liked blue better and she wanted the blue to be a bit lighter.
I lightened up the blue to a UNC shade of blue which she really liked a lot more than dark blue, then I touched up the logo, added some more details to the jersey and began to work on the rest of the uniform.
Finished product
In the end she was really surprised and happy with how it came out, and i also showed a couple of her teammates and they said it would be way better to have these than the plain black jerseys they use now.

The hardest part for me was getting started because of the amount of freedom I had, she didn't really give any suggestions so I was on my own for most of this, and usually when it comes to anything, if I don't have anything to follow its usually hard for me to get started. But even with the little amount of direction I had I feel like I really outdid myself, and my own expectations, but it came out really professional and neat. Another hard thing for me what the jersey design because I've never watched soccer a day in my life so I had to do some researching and even after that my first five designs I had to scrap because they would have worked better as basketball uniforms and wouldn't really make too much sense as a soccer uniform, so it was difficult to take my head out of basketball and put it in a sport I know nothing about, and I had multiple design choices in was gonna go with with like white and blue stripes or a giant blue lighting bolt across the entire uniform which sound like it would be a basketball uniform, not a soccer one. Originally I wanted to have the jerseys be extravagant and loud by adding a gradient or making it asymmetrical but me and my client both agreed that at simple and clean look what do better which in the end it did.
